How many different career opportunities are available in the trucking industry?

The North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA) has represented the interests of the trucking industry in North Carolina since 1929, working with regulatory agencies and promoting education, training and safety within the industry. Now, in collaboration with North Carolina Community Colleges, NCTA is promoting new Trucking Operations Management (TOM) career preparation courses for high school graduates, college students and men and women who are seeking a new career opportunity.

The TOM program  courses are available at select community college throughout North Carolina and they prepare students for a wide variety of careers within the trucking industry. For a map of community colleges offering these courses and links to the college websites, click here.
